What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this 7-session Bible study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.

Everyone desires deep, meaningful connection with others. Everyone. But to mentor or be mentored in the Christian context can change the course of your life. Something powerful happens when you do life with someone in a position to spiritually lead and influence you - or when you do the same for others.

This study is both a practical and spiritual guide to biblical mentoring, providing easy-to-model life application for how to have and be a mentor. Lawless combines personal examples from his life with in-depth Bible study and practical how-to's (and how-not-to's) you can apply right away. Mentoring is a vital aspect of true discipleship, and it all begins with a desire to grow

One In A Million

Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30 PM
500 Hall - Main Campus
Facilitator: Tess Price
Book Fee: $12
register-brown-2
The Egyptians in Exodus 1 were intent on enslaving the Israelites, wearing them down so that God's chosen people would become disillusioned and not live up to their destiny. Of the original two million Israelites who received God's invitation to enter the Promised Land, only two actually entered it!

Similarly, modern day Christians often hear and understand the promises of God each Sunday morning at church but then rarely choose to experience them in everyday life. In One in a Million, Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer invites us to change that pattern for good, living beyond our circumstances and expecting to see God move in miraculous ways day after day. Without a doubt, we can find and follow God's purpose for our journey. We can make it to the Promised Land!

Sermon on the Mount

Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30
500 Hall - Main Campus
Facilitator: Chris Curtis
Book Fee: $11
register-brown-2

Grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it cost a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life. It is costly because it condemns sin and grace because it justifies the sinner. Above all it is costly because it cost God the life of His Son: “ye were brought at a price,” and what has cost God much cannot be cheap for us. Above all, it is grace because God did not reckon his Son to pay a dear price for our life, but delivered him up for us. Costly grace is the Incarnation of God. Come join us in a study of discipleship as in view by the Sermon on the Mount.

500 Hall Main Campus
Facilitator: Tess Price
Book Fee: $17
register-brown-2
James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple with Beth Moore's study James: Mercy Triumphs. Once you get to know both the man and the Book of James, you'll never be the same again. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any New Testament book. James is abook with many topics -- social justice, joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer -- all of which are covered in this study.
