Each year, we spend a weekend focused on and celebrating FBC Peachtree City's commitment to the Great Commission.  We call it Engage and it is all about how we can we be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community and spreading His love around the world.  This year, during our month-long ministry year kick-off series, we were challenged to Live Bolder for God's glory.

To Live Bolder, we begin with a prayerful heart. For seven straight days in the hot Georgia sun, we followed the model of Joshua as he led the Israelites around Jericho. Each day, as we walked, we prayed for our church and its leaders, the ministries that call our campus home, the ministries of our global, community and church planting partners and the people and organizations that lead Peachtree City. But most of all, we were praying for the lives of everyone that is touched by one of these ministries, that they will experience the love of Jesus through these encounters. 

Six years ago, we made a commitment to Engage in our community right here in Peachtree City. We call this Shower the Tree. Each Life Group partners with a local government organization to provide love and support for those who serve Peachtree City. We partner with the city, schools, police department and fire and rescue to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

This year, we hosted a series of pancake breakfasts to give our people the opportunity to learn about our local and global missions partners.  Our partners came and shared how they are providing support to meet needs in our community.

Part of being the hands and feet of Jesus is becoming immeresed in the local cultures we serve.  The Peachtree City area is blessed to have talent from many different corners of the world represented.  

To Live Bolder, we must live commissioned.  We are called to live on mission where we live work and serve. To wrap up our week of Engage, we hosted the fall sports teams from McIntosh High School during our service and our student ministry hosted a luncheon in their honor.
