Salvation Testimony: I accepted Christ as a young teen and was baptized at Lockhart Baptist Church, Lockhart, Alabama. I served in my home church until I went away to college at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. While at Troy, I became involved in First Baptist Church of Troy and in the Baptist Student Union (BSU) at the university.
I was on a mission trip with the BSU to the Savannah Baptist Center in Savannah, Georgia when I realized that God was calling me to work with children. I changed my major and after finishing my degree at Troy, I worked to save money for seminary. I graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991 and began full time ministry. All along the way, God has reaffirmed my call to ministry with children and families. Sometimes he has done this through families in my ministry area. Sometimes, I hear it in my heart. God has gifted me to serve children and families. It is my privilege to use those gifts for Him.
