One of the most important things we do at  First Baptist Church is show Jesus' love for our guests and members as they arrive each week, through the First Impressions Ministry.  We share God’s love while we:

* Assist members and guests with parking
* Transport them to the buildings
* Greet and welcome them
* Create connection opportunities in our cafe before and after classes and worship services

* Disciple those who serve in this ministry to experience and express the life of Christ each day.

We know these actions make an eternal difference in people's lives.  These efforts are not hard, but they do require people who are passionate about the Lord and are willing to be used by God.  To accomplish something significant requires a heart of commitment which is demonstrated by those who are already serving.  We have several teams where you can participate. This team provides a meal to families following the death of a loved one. Working with our Connection Groups, they organize the donations of food, prepare the tables and serving area, and serve the family a meal at our church. This usually occurs just before or after the funeral. If you would like to help, please contact Sara Strandburg or Alice Redmond.

The Bridge Community Center is a multi-use facility designed to serve our community.  As a Bridge Crew member, you will have the opportunity to build relationships by meeting the needs of those who visit our facility.  Our goal is for everyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and we believe relationships open the door for this to happen. There are opportunities for you to serve in our cafe, welcome center, administration, or just hanging out with people who visit during the week.

Education - CPR classes, Discipleship classes

Events - Blood Pressure, Health Fair, Blood Drive

Nursing Home Visits

Home Bound Visits

Community Events

Non-Medical

Prayer is simply talking with God.  Our prayer team talks with God - we just do it in the supportive atmosphere of a group.  Sometimes, we get together and pray while at other times we agree to pray separately but together in spirit. If interested, please call Dee Beaver for more details.
