    Preschool Ministry

    At First Baptist we believe it is never too soon to start teaching our children about Jesus and His love. To do this, we have developed special programs for children age 0-4 designed to deliver Christ's message of love with age-appropriate, biblically sound lessons and materials. Our staff and volunteers are well-trained, caring and eager to help each child learn more about how Jesus' love can transform even the youngest hearts.

  • Preschool Connection Groups
    Preschool Connection Groups

    Sunday
    9 & 10:30 AM
     
    Preschool Connection Groups meet Sunday mornings during both 9 and 10:30 AM worship hours.  Classes are divided into babies, crawlers, walkers, toddlers, 2, 3 and 4 years old. During each hour your child will engage in fun learning & place activities to develop spiritually, mentally, emotionally and socially.  Safety is a priority, so we have many procedures in place to ensure the safety of our preschoolers, including, computerized check-in, beepers, security cards, worker training (background checks are performed on all teachers, workers, and helpers).
     
    Drop off & Pick Up
    Connection Group check-in begins at 8:45 AM at the Preschool Welcome Desk. During check-in, you will be given a security tag which you will be asked to show when picking your preschooler up after class or worship. Preschool welcome team members will assist you in finding and getting your child settled into their classroom. Pagers are also available in case you are needed during the service or class time.

  • Missions and Choir

    Missions (August-November)
    Choir (January-May)

    On Wednesday nights, the three and four year olds have the opportunity to participate in our Missions and Choir programs.  Missions is during the Fall semester.  They learn about missionaries around the world and how they can be a part of spreading Jesus' love to others.  During the winter semester, our 3 and 4 year olds learn how to worship through song in the preschool choir program.

Preschool welcome team members will assist you in finding and getting your child settled into their classroom. Pagers are also available in case you are needed during Mission or Choir.

  • Weekday Education Ministries

    Kindergarten and Preschool

    Preschool and kindergarten classes are offered during the school year from 9 AM - Noon in the preschool building.  For more information visit the Weekday Education Ministry page of this website.

     

    Mother's Day Out

    Mother's Day Out is offered Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 1 PM during the school year.  Care is offered to preschoolers giving much needed fellowship and quiet time for parents. Registration for Mothers Day out begins in late February for the next fall.  For more information, please call Pam Graham, Mother's Day Out Coordinator, ext. 1229.
